The reason we’re discussing online classes instead of physical ones is that that is what is mostly being done now. Since the pandemic started in 2020, almost every school or other educational facilities has been shut down so that there is no further spread of the virus. Nonetheless, school and studies in general still have to go on. Thus, a lot of schools have implemented online learning and thus, everyone has to adapt to a new way of learning and teaching as well. A lot of people struggled at first and are still struggling now but that has not stopped us from learning or teaching and there are still a lot of students who are doing well. If you’re one of the people who are struggling, let me share some stuff to remind you of what you need to prepare before each day of your online classes:
Make Sure Your Laptop Is Charged
Since classes are all online now, you would mostly have to rely on your electronic devices. Be it a laptop, tablet, PC or even your phone, you would need at least one working device as well as a stable internet connection. This is because all your classes will need a stable internet connection so that communication is smooth throughout the session. Aside from that, make sure that your laptop or device that you’re using is fully charged. You would not want to risk getting cut off in the middle of a class or in the middle of getting your assignment done. Moreover, please note that using your device while charging is not advised as your device might get damaged or overheated.
Make Sure Your Wifi Is Connected
As mentioned briefly earlier, you certainly need a stable internet connection. This is because most classes are conducted through online meeting platforms or mobile apps like Google Meet or Zoom, sometimes even Skype. If your internet connection is slow or unstable, you will not be able to hear your class properly. Thus, your teacher or professor won’t be able to see you and you won’t be able to see them. This will make it hard for you to go through future classes as well as get your assignments done properly. Also, wifi would be needed if you always store your assignments in cloud storage so you would not have to worry if your device got damaged because you can simply get a data backup and restore.
Check The Time And Platform For Your Classes
Always remember that you need to create a schedule. This is so that you do not forget about any classes, which can very easily happen. Set an alarm that is around 20 minutes before your class should start so that you have time to prepare for the class or freshen up and whatnot if you were asleep beforehand. Plus, with reminders, you would feel the burden of having to rush or anything.
Prepare A Good Workspace
To properly learn and study or simply go through your assignments, you need to prepare a particular workspace. This workspace would have to be comfortable to you but not too comfortable to an extent of feeling sleepy. You do not know how long you will be sitting that your desk. So, might as well make it a pleasant time for yourself.
